Say YES to Jesus
Every one of us struggles to find purpose, answers, and help. Some days we just want to keep our heads above water—take care of the kids, pay the bills, and make ends meet. We all want to feel we have what it takes.
But we also have deeper questions. Why am I here? Is this all there is? Who am I? What happens when I die?
Jesus matters because He came to answer our deepest questions. He came to give us purpose for living now and settle the question of where we'll spend eternity.
God, the creator of the universe, has a plan for you and your life. He loves you and wants to help you because He made you—on purpose, with a purpose. He knows you need help. He knows you can’t do it on your own. That’s why He sent Jesus.
You don’t have to measure up to some impossible religious standard to know God—you can’t, only Jesus can. Jesus brings meaning and purpose to all the struggles you’re facing. You don’t have to be good enough, clean up your act, or follow some super-spiritual checklist.
If you are ready to meet Jesus, pray this prayer:
"Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I’ve fallen short. I’ve sinned and need your forgiveness. I believe that You lived, died and rose again so that I could be connected to God. I confess you as my Lord and commit my life to You. I give you my past, present and future. Take my life and use it. I give it to You. Amen."
If you prayed to meet Jesus, please let us know! If you have any questions, we want to help you take a next step. Join us at Church of Celebration or fill out this quick form.
Baptism is a huge celebration at Church of Celebration. We love to celebrate life change, and baptisms are one of the greatest pictures of transformation. Jesus modeled baptism and commands us to be baptized when we make the decision to say YES to following Him. When we put our trust in Jesus and receive the gift of a restored relationship with God, we celebrate it with the picture of baptism.
As we get into the water that is a picture of the old us, separated from God by our sin. When we are baptized, it symbolizes our association with the death and resurrection of Jesus. The "old us" is dead and buried. The "new us" is raised with Jesus and we now live by faith in Him as our Lord and Savior.
If you ever have a chance to be a part of a baptism service at Sun Valley we like to get a little rowdy and cheer loud for those being baptized because there is nothing worth celebrating more than new life with Jesus! If you have said YES to following Jesus and haven’t been baptized, join us at our next baptism celebration!
Growing in Christ
Too many Christians make the mistake of measuring the certainty of their salvation by their feelings. Feelings can change, but God’s word never changes. “Growing In Christ” is a six-week one-on-one Bible study designed to give you assurance of your salvation and help you grow in your relationship with God. You will be partnered with a spiritual mentor, so that you can go at your own pace and give you the flexibility to work with your schedule.
Meet the Pastors
“Meet the Pastors” is just what it sounds like... it is an informal opportunity for us to hang out for you to meet all the Pastors and Staff at COC. And it is a chance for us to get to know you, too. This event takes place once a quarter immediately following the second service. You are welcome to bring the whole family. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
It takes an army of committed volunteers every week, both on the weekends and mid-week, to step up and serve God by serving others. There are many opportunities to volunteer at Church of Celebration. If you are wondering how you can use your gifts, and talents to make an impact at COC then Backstage Pass has the answers that you are looking for. Backstage pass is a one-hour guided tour that will show you all the different ministries and literally take you behind the scenes on a Sunday morning.
